Books are the lowest-friction category to trade on MySwapShop: light to post, cheap to bundle, and rarely disputed since condition is easy to describe honestly. Textbooks in particular do well here — a set of last year's course books plus a modest top-up for this year's set is a trade students make every September, and it's considerably cheaper than buying new each time.

Bundling by genre or subject gets noticeably more offers than listing single titles, since most people looking to trade have a stack to offload rather than one book.

Tips for books listings

• List by bundle where possible ("12 crime novels, various authors") rather than one at a time.
• Note any water damage, missing pages, or heavy annotation — these matter more for books than almost anything else.
• For textbooks, include the exact edition number — a previous edition is often not accepted for coursework.
• Postage is cheap for books, so this category works well nationwide, not just locally.
