Terms of Use

1. What MySwapShop is

MySwapShop provides the listing, search, matching, and messaging service only. We are not a party to, and do not process payment for, any trade agreed between users.

2. Subscription and fees

MySwapShop currently charges no subscription fee while we grow. We do not charge commission on trades, and we do not take a percentage of any cash exchanged between users. If we introduce paid plans in future, existing users will be given advance notice and founding-member terms as described on our pricing page.

3. How trades work

All trades are agreed and carried out directly between the users involved. We do not verify that either party will honour the agreed trade, and do not guarantee item condition, authenticity, or value beyond any optional authentication add-on.

4. Sharing payment details

You may add payment details (bank details or a PayPal.me link) to your profile. These stay masked and hidden from other users until you choose to reveal them to a specific trade partner after accepting an offer. We store this securely but do not verify, transmit, or process it.

5. No warranty & limitation of liability

MySwapShop is provided "as is". Our total liability to you is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months (currently £0, while subscriptions are free). We are not liable for loss arising from a trade agreed between you and another user, as we are not a party to it.

6. Prohibited items

Stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, or illegal items, and misleading listings, are not permitted and will be removed on report.
